Everyone who cares enough to have an opinion says New Orleans is the sentimental SB favorite...

What a bunch of crap.

Let's break it down:

Yes, they did have a genuine horrible calamity.

On the other hand:

    - They built their city on a flood plane,
    - at the BOTTOM of the flood plane,
    - in a swamp,
    - partly below sea level,
    - in a hurricane zone,
    - and took the federal infrastucture grants for flood control and variably: diverted the funds upstate, lobied for social grants instead, or just embezzeled them,
    - before hesitating to declare an emergency for fear of the Feds coming in and seeing how the state as run.

    -Then they got a massive bail out,
    - which they largely diverted to graft and dubious spending.

Spare me. Just spare me the sentimental favorites crap. It's a wonder they have not been awarded a federal compensation Super Bowl.

Haiti is a sentimental favorite, but they aren't in it.
